Both from the 1992 vintage, we each followed our own path first in France then abroad: in Taiwan for one, in the United States for the other. We found ourselves at the crossroad of Burgundy in 2020, this is the beginning of our adventures!
For nearly ten years, we have each traveled the world and acquired vast and thorough knowledge of our export markets. The passion for wine and our endless curiosity led us to explore the terroirs of the Côte de Beaune and other vineyards in order to discover, discuss and learn from winegrowers. Our idea of bringing together wine lovers was born from all these encounters throughout vineyards and countries, may it be with winegrowers, winemakers, importers or sommeliers…
We are deeply committed to forging connections with the history, terroir and wines of our winegrowers, aligning with our vision of building long-term partnerships.
Our passion, comprehensive understanding of the export markets and strategic approach to business development are now the driving forces of our collaboration with winegrowers from Champagne, Burgundy, Beaujolais and Northern Rhône.
Juliette & Téha
Originally from Bordeaux, I got my first taste of wine at the age of 9 with my grandfather Charly, who was a winemaker. Since then it’s been a wonderful journey meeting passionate people and learning everyday about wine.
After living in Provence, in the UK, Washington DC, a few months in Rome and back to Bordeaux, I moved to beautiful Beaune in Burgundy in 2019.
Working in Burgundy was a fantastic experience, sharing similar values about the environment and sustainability. Working alongside people who love sharing their knowledge and passion everyday is an absolute dream!
Through the years, I have been inspired by many people in lots of different ways: their winemaking techniques, their entrepreneurial spirit and determination but also their work ethic and their drive to be the best at what they do. Co-founding Florescence with Juliette became the obvious next step!
If I were a wine, I would be a Champagne, sparkling with aromatic complexity, some structure but also freshness!
I am Juliette, French born Hongkongese, although my second home is Taiwan. I discovered my passion for wine while working as a wine buyer there, and I had the greatest chance to taste wines from all over the world from Napa Valley to Yarra Valley through Burgundy and Bordeaux.
In 2019, my fate has led me to come back to France, in Burgundy precisely, home of the finest wines. I got the best job I could ever have dreamt of: working for a family-run company with wineries located in Burgundy, Rhone Valley and Loire Valley as the Export Manager for Asia market.
I am thankful for all the discussions, tastings and field trips with the technical team that gave us the knowledge we have today to appreciate and understand deeply the work of a winegrower and a winemaker.
Over the years I have learnt from my experience the right strategy to apply to each market in Asia to build and develop a brand hand in hand with my partners. Today, I want to put these skills and my passion to the service of other winegrowers, I want to reveal their wines to the world and share their hard work to all the wine lovers!
